Performances at Symposion utilise the versatility of the space and host composer, instrument artisan and musician, Yannis Pantazis, who performs on a distinctive traverse stage.
Limited availability. Tickets can be preferably booked online or at the door.

Historical Tour + Musical Presentation

The tour explores the history and singular architecture of the former winery. The musical presentation creates an innovative, interactive musical journey using mythological narration and fifteen hand-crafted wind and string instruments.

Tuesday through Sunday 12:00-12:45 and 16:00-16:45

From  March 12 -

Adult - €10 | Youth - €7 (Age 6-13)

Workshops

Participants spend an hour in the workshop of the master instrument artisan building their own ancient Greek pipe from local cane and learning of the instrument’s historical significance.

Odysseus Returns

Evening Performance.
Odysseus Returns, Yannis Pantazis’ signature performance, comprised of ten original musical compositions each featuring a different instrument, recounts the journey of Odysseus, king of Ithaca, as he returns home to reclaim his kingdom and free his people from their oppressors. The performance is in a theatrical spirit, sporadically narrated in the original Greek (download the Program here.)

Clio's Tales

Evening Performance. 

Clio was the muse of history; her name is derived from the Greek ‘to recount.’  Join us in the Homeric Wine Cafe to listen to the playing of the lyre and recitations of poetry and mythological stories. Guests are encouraged to recite their own poetry (no musical experience needed).

The Elements

Evening Performance. 
The Elements, a new composition in five movements by Yannis Pantazis, inspired by the Five Platonic Solids, is a musical interpretation of the five elements of nature and their creation of the cosmos. The performance utilizes a wide range of instrumentation and various soundscapes.
