Nikolaos Balogiannis
Soloist - classical guitar teacher
Guitarist Nikolaos Balogiannis began his musical studies at the Hellenic Conservatory of Music & Arts. Under the guidance of his professor, Th. Temzelidis, he earned a degree in classical guitar receiving a qualification of “Outstanding with Honors” by unanimous decision; at the same time, he studied the full set of Advanced Theory courses (Degrees in Music Education, Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue) taught by professor S. Ioannidis.
Following completion of his military service, he continued his studies at the Musical Horizons Conservatory, founded by Mr. K. Gaitanos, and earned a Soloist Diploma receiving a qualification of “Outstanding with Honors” by unanimous decision as well as the 1st Award. On account of his performance, the management of the Conservatory and the artistic committee of the Ministry of Culture awarded him the ‘Gold Medal of Outstanding Genius in memoriam of Charalambos Ekmektsoglou’.
